Sara and Tara Leighton

Sara and Tara are two girls with one body. They are "technically human".

Their father experimented with magic to find a way to send people and things all over the world by reducing whatever he wanted to send to "The essential characteristics" and packaging them with a delayed spell that reassembled them at the other end. It worked. After he said it was safe for groups the whole family decided to use it for a trip to grandma’s for Khersentide. Being twins, Sara and Tara's "essential characteristics" are identical with the only differences in their heads. The spell reassembled them as they appear now.

Their majors are undecided, because they both want to study different things, but they have to take the same classes. They live in room 419 with Twyla.

In Chapter 115: The Election it is revealed that Sara and Tara share a private language known only to them, a phenomenon sometimes witnessed among twins.
