Khersis
From MU Wiki
The central deity of the Khersian faith. His holy symbol is an egg with his image upon it; another variant exists with the egg encircled by the Great Star Drake. Details are not known, but Khersis appears to exist in a monotheistic framework. He is addressed as "Lord Khersis" by Mackenzie's grandmother in 47: Mask and Bonus Stories: Devil Children. Context would tend to suggest that the phrase is one of the common forms of address for Khersis. In Devil Children, Khersis is occasionally referred to as Khersis Dei.
In 53: Early To Bed Mackenzie refers to him as "the Holy Avenger, the Demonslayer, the Champion of Man..." which gives some insight into the history of the religion and partially explains her negative reaction to the holy Khersian symbols.
Khersis sired a daughter, Anankha, while he was incarnated as a mortal. Khersians do not recognize Anankha as a true deity in her own right, denying her the holy consonant kh, though others do acknowledge her as one of the gods.
Humans believe Khersis is the creator of humanity. Elves say that humans are the children of Khersis and the Earth.
