Not much about Dwarves as a race in MU Tales has been revealed yet, other than their short stature, and that they organize themselves in clans. Their legal drinking age is twelve. There have been hints as well that Dwarves are a warlike race. See wikipedia for general information: Dwarf.

Karl and Andreas are both dwarves of the Ironholt clan, and Puddy claims to be one sixty-fourth dwarf.

Dwarves use Base-7 instead of Base-10 for their numeric system, with units represented by a single-stroke vertical rune (I), septets by a downward-pointing chevron rune (V) and septuaseptets by an oblique cross rune (X). Thus, the XV rune in In the Hall of the Mountain Kings represents the decimal number 56 (49 + 7).

While dwarves count by sevens, seven isn't really a lot of something, so they find it useful to do things in fourteens, so the dwarven 20 (VV), equivalent to decimal 14, has some of the characteristics (in terms of prevalence) as our decimal 10. The term "dwarven dozen" in An Internal Matter refers to the dwarven number VV because it was coined by humans dealing with the odd phenomenon of things priced by the fourteen. The number is contained in the story in the part of the coda referring to the 14 missing items. (The significance of sixteen bolts in the golem maker's body is that it indicates that he was killed by eight dwarves, one master and seven apprentices, all armed with crossbows. Sixteen bolts means they reloaded and shot him again.)

In addition to traditional metals such as iron, copper, silver, gold and platinum, Dwarves are now working with titanium, described in More 34 as a new base metal that's becoming very fashionable on the coast, and palladium, described in An Internal Matter as being equivalent to platinum, but more so.
