Mackenzie gets ready for the day, and heads to her Elemental Invocation lab. She's given the assignment to work on drawing fire from her (water-saturated) earth sample, due to obvious mastery of drawing water from it. Ian, on the other hand, has still gotten nowhere with his wood - even after use of some 'headphones' as a concentration aid. After class is over, as the teacher was heading over to talk with him, Mackenzie does something stupid.
