Bethany Davies is the current Magisterius University Chancellor. She has held this office for 23 years, but she still feels like she's playing a role. This isn't really surprising, however, as the job is mostly for appearances. Her apparent chief assistant, Vice-Chancellor Embries, in fact does most of the work, and in doing so, wields most of the power. As such, if one wanted to get something done, one would be better off going to talk with Embries, and ignoring Chancellor Davies. Especially since she's planning on retiring in about a year.

Still, she hasn't managed to break her habit of promising people things, so one always could go with the hope that she'd keep a promise.
